Buying or selling a house or property is a big deal. Once you have made the decision, you must go through the settlement process. At Sure Settlements, we make sure that every detail is handled for you to make this a stress free process.
A contract of sale is agreed by the seller and buyer.
1. OFFER & ACCEPTANCE
A deposit is paid by the buyer to secure the contract.
2. INITIAL PAYMENT
Your settlement agent is appointed by completing an Appointment to Act form.
3. APPOINTING A SETTLEMENT AGENT
4. FINANCE
Finance is approved and your contract becomes unconditional
5. MORTGAGES
The buyer completes mortgage documents. The seller completes discharge mortgage documents.
6. TRANSFER OF LAND
Transfer of land is signed by the buyers and the sellers.
7. CONDITIONS
Check special conditions have been performed according to your contract.
8. INSPECTION
7 days before settlement, the buyer arranges a final inspection of the property.
9. ORGANISING SETTLEMENT
A settlement time will be arranged between financial institutions and settlement agents.
10. SETTLEMENT FINALISED
When your settlement is complete, you will be alerted.
